Thoughts: If you can’t tell, the picture is not of my finished meal but rather, of the cookbook. I was really, really excited to cook this meal because of the whole Julie-Julia thing (I loved the way Julia Child would say Beef Bourguinon), but this was a lot of effort and it didn’t taste as great as I hoped it would. I was pretty underwhelmed and was let down so much that I forgot to take a picture. Is it that I simply don’t like Beef Bourguignon, or is it the recipe’s fault? Who knows, but I decided I would not be cooking it again.
