Thoughts: I’ve never been the biggest fan of French Onion Soup, but I still decided to try this recipe. It was…ok. Honestly, the gruyere bread was my favorite part, especially when dipped in the soup. However, the soup on its own was eh. Mr. San Diego wasn’t overly impressed either, and he loves the stuff. Since I didn’t have any oven-safe bowls, I had to forego the traditional finish, which made it looks just as ehhh as it tasted. Oh well!
